AeroPress Go Travel Coffee Press Review

A few months ago I picked up the new AeroPress Go Travel Coffee Press. I’m always on the hunt for new or different ways to brew coffee at home, on the trail, or on the road. Since this is billed as a travel set-up I knew I had to give it a try. The aim is to deliver the AeroPress and accessories in a travel-size compact kit. Here is what I discovered and why I’m a HUGE fan of this.

Brew Method Spotlight: GSI Ultralight Java Drip

I’m all about simplicity. That comes out in a lot of ways in the worlds of mountain biking, the way I drink coffee, and even how I run Loam Coffee. For a 10 year stretch the only mountain bike I had was a single speed. I didn’t have to fret over broken derailleurs or erratic shifting. I drink my coffee straight black. This simplicity is at the forefront in Loam Coffee from our logo, bags, branding, and more. I love simple. Clean.

One Essential You Need For Brewing Coffee Outside

Coffee is a lot of fun. It's more than "hot bean juice" too. We drink coffee because we love it ... the tasting notes, how it feels when we take a sip, and of course the other benefits like caffeine. But it's more like a lifestyle accessory. However, that doesn't mean it should be inaccessible without insider knowledge.

So what is one affordable essential needed for the next time you go camping or want to brew coffee at the trailhead?

Have Bike Will Travel

Unless you live in a place where your town or city is the trailhead then it usually means loading up your bike and driving somewhere to ride. Even then, for those of you with access to world-class trails right outside your front door sooner or later they can become a little stale and you hunger and thirst for new trails elsewhere.

The Misadventures of Drinking Coffee Outside

You’ve seen them. Perfectly edited photos of beautiful people exploring and adventuring outdoors. The sun perfectly peeks over the ridge and kisses the now illuminated figure who wistfully stares at the valley below. The flannel shirt is perfectly tied around the waste, trucker hat is on backwards, and the colors of the whole image look too good … too real to be real.

Uncovering Hidden Gems: The French Press

Trends and fads are ever-changing. As soon as you seem to catch up they move right out from under you … with the ferocity of getting the rug pulled right out from under you. You land on the ground with a dull thud. Ouch. Sometimes these fads last but a few weeks. It was like a radiant comet shooting across the night time sky, but it vanished as quickly as it came. Some trends last a few years. You may have held out (and still do) of the whole skinny jeans thing. Finally after resisting for years you bought a pair of slim (not super skinny, mind you) pants from Old Navy, but all of a sudden you’re noting baggy is trickling back in.
