I’m excited to announce the release of our Spring 2023 LOAM Zine. Yes, our own little digital magazine. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll make this a print zine, but for now, it’s digital-only. It’s only fitting, too, since one of the articles talks about now having two brands under the same roof … Loam Coffee and Trail Builder Magazine. What does that mean going forward?

Loam Family
It’s been a week since I announced that I’m now at the helm of Loam Coffee. It’s been a touch over two weeks since that change took place. In the midst of it all, we had already planned a family trip to Santa Barbara, California. The timing actually couldn’t have been any better.
It was almost three years ago when I sold Loam Coffee. I started Loam in 2015 and ran it for five years. Feeling burned out and needing a change of pace, I broke the company into two pieces and sold each part. With great relief, I moved on and threw myself into other endeavors and startups. But I couldn’t shake Loam Coffee.
Mountain biking is about community. It’s also a special community. It’s not exclusive to mountain biking but is also found in BMX, gravel, cyclocross, etc. When we gather together to ride, laugh, and be together, we believe something special happens.
We keep saying coffee was meant to be enjoyed outdoors. And while we certainly mean it, we've also shared different ways to brew coffee outside with you over the years. There are innumerable ways to brew coffee at the trailhead, around the campfire, and on a bikepacking trip. But how about from a van?
