FREE Shipping for U.S. Orders
Yep, you read that correctly. Moving forward, when you buy ANY coffee or apparel from Loam Coffee, there are no shipping fees attached … like, at all.
So, why am I doing this?
Believe it or not, this may come as a surprise, but I really like coffee (seriously 😉). That means not only do I drink a lot of coffee that I am roasting, but I am constantly ordering and buying from other roasters, whether local or somewhere else. I have even signed up for monthly coffee subscriptions from other roasters to have coffee delivered to my door. It’s always fun and enjoyable to drink coffee from different roasters.
At the same time, I’ve had the same experience many of you encounter when ordering coffee online. True, specialty coffee is somewhat of a luxury. I get that. Spending $17-$25 on a bag can feel like a lot. But when that $25 bag turns into a $31 order with shipping, then all of a sudden, it is easier to simply delete the item from our cart and move on.
I’ve done that with coffee orders plenty of times. Many of us are accustomed to purchasing items on Amazon. For Prime members, we get so used to free shipping that if an item requires us actually to pay for shipping, we keep looking until we find the same item with free shipping.
Will this impact our profits? Certainly, but we have enough margin to make it work. We already offer free shipping for our Travel Pouches, and now, we’re extending it to 8oz, 12oz, and 2lb bags and our apparel to ensure your satisfaction. Free shipping is only for U.S. orders. We currently don’t sell coffee outside of the U.S. (but we do sell apparel).
